Introduction

With the program 'AvVideo.exe' and a ‘Hauppauge’ interface it is possible to overlay videos during runtime of ALPHA-VISION®Visu.

AvVideo is entirely controlled via the INI-File AvVideo.ini; that is located in the directory 'Video' below the folder ‘bin’.

Example:

c:\vision\bin\Video\AvVideo.ini

Mode of operation

AvVideo realizes changes in the AvVideo.ini and can be controlled by other programs that way.
Usually the AvVideo program is never closed; via ‘Alt-F4’ or pressing ‘closing’ the window is merely minimized.
If it is necessary to close the program it must be called up with the parameter ‘/Esc’.

It is not possible to have more than one instance of 'AvVideo'.
If the program is restarted the first instance is put in the foreground.
The size of the window is adjustable.
If the program was started with the parameter '/Esc' the size and position of the window is saved on closing.

To use a camera switch on the video input of the interface the canal must be set to 0.

The window-title of "AvVideo" may be defined in the AvVideo.ini
It is possible to define a fixed title or name any canal/camera individually.

Naming conventions are as follows:
If the entry "Camera" in section "[CamCOM] " equals 0, the definition for entry "Channel n" below section "[Titles]" is taken as window title.
If entry "Camera" in section "[CamCOM] " unequal 0, the definition for entry "Title" below section "[AvVideo]" is used as window title.

Note:
If nowhere window titles are defined the default name "AvVideo - Channel n" (n=Number of the selected channel) is used as window title.
