Introduction
Not all types of DataObjects are supported by AvET.

In the AvET:
- DataObjects are combined in DataObject-Lists.
- DataObject-Lists got the extension ".obj.xml"
- Dataobject-Lists may contain different Dataobjects
Using the AvET you may:
- Create DataObject-Lists.
- Import DataObject-Tables from VisionNT.
(POs which are not supported by the AvET are converted to PVs)
- Export DataObject-Tables to VisionNT.
- Create DataObjects within DataObjectLists.
- Modify DataObjects within DataObjectLists.
- Delete DataObjects within DataObjectLists.
Create DataObjectLists
Recommendation:
Create a subfolder called "DataObjects" in the Project folder.
In the pull down menu ‘File’ of the toolbar - select "new".
In the opened window select the item “DataObjectList”.
Input the wanted name in the ‘Name’ –field and the wanted location below.
Note:
The path of the opened project is shown, it may be extended - not
existent directories are created.
Finish with OK.
Note:
A GroupAlarmList with the given name and the extension ".obj.xml" is
created in the defined folder and shown in the tree in the left window.
Delete/ Modify/ Create/ DataObjects
Open the wanted DataObjectList via double-click.
- In the center window the DataObjects of the DataObjectList are
shown.
- The right window shows the properties of the DataObjectList
itself.
In the toolbar are the actions ‘apply’, ‘reset’ and ‘new Object’ operable.
Delete DataObject
Select the wanted DataObject in the center window.
- The right window shows the definitions for that DataObject.
- The 'delete' symbol in the toolbar becomes operable.
Click the 'delete' symbol in the toolbar.
- In the center window the entry is deleted.
- The right window is empty.
If on closing the file the modification is confirmed, the deletion is
final.
Modify DataObject
Select the wanted DataObject in the center window.
- The right window shows the definitions for that DataObject.
In the right window you may modify the definitions.
- The field name of a modified field is marked with an asterisk.
- If the symbol ‘Apply’ is clicked the asterisk disappears.
If on closing the file the modification is confirmed, the change is
final.

Create a DataObject
Select the Object type from the pull down menu of ‘New Object’ in the
toolbar.

The DataObject is created.
- The system places a default name according the Object type.
(PVn, SOn, AMpn, BMpn, Refn, Xobjn - n stands for the running
number)
- On clicking the 'new Object' symbol the actual Object is
duplicated.
If on closing the file the modification is confirmed, the newly
created GroupAlarm is saved.
