Object Number Band
SUMMARY
Different Data Object Types are organized in Number Bands per Station.

Introduction
For ANY Station of a Project a Number Band for the existent Data Object types
is allocated.
Data Object types:
- bin.Measuring Point
- ana.Measuring Point
- Process variables
- System Objects
- Reference Objects
The allocation is done via the field “Start value for objectnumbers”.
- 65.535 Data Object Numbers are possible.
- Object Number Bands must not overlap.
Note:
Please calculate the start values for the Object Numbers carefully to give
enough space for the existing Data Objects.
In the AvET:
- Object Number Bands are combined in lists.
- Object Number Band Lists got the extension ".onb.xml"
Using the AvET you may:
- Create Object Number Band Lists.
- Import Object Number Band Lists.
- Export Object Number Band Lists.
- Create Object Number Bands within Object Number Band Lists.
- Modify Object Number Bands within Object Number Band Lists.
- Delete Object Number Bands within Object Number Band Lists.
Create Object Number Band Lists
Recommendation:
If the subfolder "Stations" does not exist please create it and place any
Object Number Band List there.
In the pull down menu ‘File’ of the toolbar - select "new".
In the opened window select the item “Objectnumberbandlist”.
Input the wanted name in the ‘Name’ –field and the wanted location below.
Note:
The path of the opened project is shown, it may be extended - not
existent directories are created.
Finish with OK.
Note:
A Object Number Band List with the given name and the extension ".onb.xml"
is created in the defined folder and shown in the tree in the left window.

Delete/ Modify/ Create/ Object Number Bands
Open the wanted Object Number Band List via double-click.
- In the center window the Object Number Bands of the Object Number
Band List are shown.
- The right window shows the properties of the Object Number Band List
itself.
In the toolbar are the actions ‘apply’, ‘reset’ and ‘new Object’ operable.
Delete Object Number Band
Select the wanted Object Number Band in the center window.
- The right window shows the definitions for that Object Number Band.
- The 'delete' symbol in the toolbar becomes operable.
Click the 'delete' symbol in the toolbar.
- In the center window the entry is deleted.
- The right window is empty.
If on closing the file the modification is confirmed, the deletion is
final.
Modify Object Number Band
Select the wanted Object Number Band in the center window.
- The right window shows the definitions for that Object Number Band.
In the right window you may modify the definitions.
- The field name of a modified field is marked with an asterisk.
- If the symbol ‘Apply’ is clicked the asterisk disappears.
If on closing the file the modification is confirmed, the change is
final.

Create an Object Number Band
Select ‘New Object’ in the toolbar.
An Object Number Band is created.
- The system places the default name NoBandN (N stands for the
running number)
If on closing the file the modification is confirmed, the newly
created Object Number Band is saved.
