ScaleGroup
SUMMARY
An incoming signal may be conditioned using the ScaleGroup.

Introduction
If it is necessary to condition an incoming analog signal it can be done
via a “conversion table”. The incoming signal is mirrored on a curve and
the result is forwarded to the MP.

- The "conversion table" as a "ScaleGroup" may be used for arbitrary MPs.
- ScaleGroups are applicable for analog MPs only.
In the AvET:
- Pair of values are combined in ScaleGroups.
- ScaleGroups got the extension ".sgr.xml"
Using the AvET you may:
- Create ScaleGroups
- Export ScaleGroups
- Create Pair of values within ScaleGroups
- Modify Pair of values within ScaleGroups
- Delete Pair of values within ScaleGroups
Note:
ScaleGroups can NOT be imported !
Create ScaleGroups
Recommendation:
Create a subfolder called "ScaleGroups" in the Project folder.
In the pull down menu ‘File’ of the toolbar - select "new".
In the opened window select the item “ScaleGroup”.
Input the wanted name in the ‘Name’ –field and the wanted location below.
Note:
The path of the opened project is shown, it may be extended - not
existent directories are created.
Finish with OK.
Note:
A ScaleGroups with the given name and the extension ".sgr.xml" is
created in the defined folder and shown in the tree in the left window.

the headline ‘properties’.
Delete/ Modify/ Create/ Pair of values
Open the wanted ScaleGroup via double-click.
- In the center window the pair of values of the ScaleGroup are
shown.
- The right window shows the properties of the ScaleGroup
itself.
In the toolbar are the actions ‘apply’, ‘reset’ and ‘new Object’ operable.
Delete pair of values
Select the wanted pair of values in the center window.
- The right window shows the definitions for that pair of values.
- The 'delete' symbol in the toolbar becomes operable.
Click the 'delete' symbol in the toolbar.
- In the center window the entry is deleted.
- The right window is empty.
If on closing the file the modification is confirmed, the deletion is
final.
Modify pair of values
Select the wanted pair of values in the center window.
- The right window shows the definitions for that pair of values.
In the right window you may modify the definitions.
- The field name of a modified field is marked with an asterisk.
- If the symbol ‘Apply’ is clicked the asterisk disappears.
If on closing the file the modification is confirmed, the change is
final.
Information about entries in the fields you will find down below under
the headline ‘properties’.
Create pair of values
Select ‘New Object’ in the toolbar.
A pair of values is created.
- The system does not places the default name.
Note:
Not defined X-values are linear interpolated.
If on closing the file the modification is confirmed, the newly
created pair of values is saved.
