SUMMARY
Technology Groups are structural elements for Measuring Points and
Processvariables.

Introduction
A Technology Group is a structural element.
Only Measuring Points and Processvariables may be appointed to ONE
Technology Group.
In the AvET:
- Technology Groups are combined in lists.
- Technology Group Lists got the extension ".tgr.xml"
Using the AvET you may:
- Create Technology Group Lists.
- Import Technology Groups.
- Export Technology Groups.
- Create Technology Groups within Technology Group Lists.
- Modify Technology Groups within Technology Group Lists.
- Delete Technology Groups within Technology Group Lists.
Create Technology Group Lists
Recommendation:
Create a subfolder called "TechnologyGroups" in the Project folder.
In the pull down menu ‘File’ of the toolbar - select "new".
In the opened window select the item “Technologygrouplist”.
Input the wanted name in the ‘Name’ –field and the wanted location below.
Note:
The path of the opened project is shown, it may be extended - not
existent directories are created.
Finish with OK.
Note:
A Technology Group List with the given name and the extension ".tgr.xml"
is created in the defined folder and shown in the tree in the left window.
Information about entries in the fields you will find down below under
the headline ‘properties’.
Delete/ Modify/ Create/ TechnologyGroups
Open the wanted Technology Group List via double-click.
- In the center window the Technology Groups of the Technology Group
List are shown.
- The right window shows the properties of the Technology Group List
itself.
In the toolbar are the actions ‘apply’, ‘reset’ and ‘new Object’ operable.
Delete Technology Group
Select the wanted Technology Group in the center window.
- The right window shows the definitions for that Technology Group.
- The 'delete' symbol in the toolbar becomes operable.
Click the 'delete' symbol in the toolbar.
- In the center window the entry is deleted.
- The right window is empty.
If on closing the file the modification is confirmed, the deletion is
final.
Modify Technology Group
Select the wanted Technology Group in the center window.
- The right window shows the definitions for that Technology Group.
In the right window you may modify the definitions.
- The field name of a modified field is marked with an asterisk.
- If the symbol ‘Apply’ is clicked the asterisk disappears.
If on closing the file the modification is confirmed, the change is
final.
Information about entries in the fields you will find down below under
the headline ‘properties’.
Create a Technology Group
Select ‘New Object’ in the toolbar.
An Technology Group is created.
- The system places the default name TGrN (N stands for the
running number)
If on closing the file the modification is confirmed, the newly
created Technology Group is saved.
